Though not many guests have experienced what the house has most recently developed into, as we have mostly done private, long-term rentals over the past couple of years, it is now more luxurious and more enjoyable than ever before. The home is nestled next to endless forest service land, on a quiet street less than a mile from the Squaw parking lot. It is situated high above the road, providing the benefit of privacy and stunning scenery, with panoramic views of the entire Squaw Valley ski area. In addition, the multilevel layout provides guests with multiple common areas to congregate, with seclusion in bedrooms throughout the large home. While the property offers an extraordinary vacationing experience, be mindful that it may not be suited for groups with elderly individuals, those with health issues, or lazy friends who may struggle to ascend the 60 stairs to get up to the main house.

 

Sleeping up to 20 guests, our Majestic Mountain Getaway has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, a fireplace, hot tub, sauna, sports bar / game room, and so much more. You and your guests can choose between 6 king-size beds, 1 queen bed, and 1 twin-over-queen bunk. The home is fully equipped with a well-stocked modern kitchen and pantry, 72-inch wide fridge/freezer with ice maker, sizable 6-burner gas stove and oven, as well as an additional convection oven that comes in handy for serving big feasts at the 10-seat dining table, breakfast nook table, and counter seating. The spacious great room and living area center around the gas fireplace underneath the 82-inch flatscreen, perfect for enjoying big sporting events, movie nights, even big-screen gaming. There are flatscreen TVs in every bedroom, with full package DirecTV and high-speed Wi-Fi. Multiple relaxation areas, comfortable leather couches, several decks and yards all have majestic views of the mountains.

 

Take a step outside onto the main outdoor deck, equipped with a large BBQ, and breathe in the fresh air while taking in the views. The backyard, which borders thousands of acres of forest service land, enables hiking into the mountains right from the comfort of your bedrooms. One floor down from the main living area, relax in the 8-person hot tub, large sauna, and sports bar / game room. The wet bar features a second dishwasher and under-counter fridge. Enjoy endless fun and friendly competition on the pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, darts, multi-game arcade, and second arcade console, the original classic, Cruisin USA. We have 3 washer/dryer sets on different floors, boot dryers, parking for at least 6 vehicles, including 2 single-car garages, and a 50 amp outlet for EV charging.

We offer the option of arranging add-on services upon request (if available), including private mountain guides and coaches, pre-arrival shopping, in-house massage, daycare and babysitting, private chef services, mid-rental cleaning, daily maid service, boat rentals and captains, E-bikes delivered to the house, and help up the stairs with your luggage and groceries upon arrival.

Stairs and Layout:

​

Remember that there are a lot of stairs; 60 to access the main house from the street. This provides breathtaking views, privacy from the street, and seclusion within the home thanks to its multilevel layout. The 2 bottom bedrooms above the garage are separate from the main house and do not have their own bathrooms. Then there are 6 more bedrooms in the main house, all with attached bathrooms, spread throughout 4 more connected levels with common areas, including the kitchen / great room / living room, sports bar / game room, hot tub, sauna, decks, yards, etc.

Getting Around:

 

The home is less than a mile from the entrance to the Squaw Valley / Palisades Tahoe parking lot. Driving down Sandy Way crosses directly over Squaw Valley Road into the main parking lot, alleviating the hassle of dealing with traffic on Squaw Valley Road on busy ski days. Additionally, the Mountaineer Shuttle offers a free service operating throughout Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows (check the Mountaineer app for available hours). There are also Uber and Lyft rides available. Bike rentals are available at Truckee River Bikes at the entrance to Squaw Valley, or call us ahead and we can have E-bikes at the house upon your arrival. You can also walk to the village in about 15 minutes.

Neighborhood Description:

 

The property is located in a serene, quiet neighborhood. Occupants are expected to respect the community and the home, as this is NOT to be used as a party house. This is a high-class neighborhood surrounded by other multi-million dollar properties. Our home is meant for large families and groups that want to have a ton of fun, as respectful adults, for get-togethers in this spacious and luxurious vacation home setting. Take part in endless activities without ever leaving the house, though we do encourage you to take advantage of everything Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe have to offer. While we want you to have the time of your lives, excessive noise is NOT allowed at or around the home, as the neighbors will not stand for unruly behavior.

Noise Ordinance:

​

The Placer County Noise Ordinance limits the maximum sound exposure at the property boundary to 55dB daytime, and 45 dB at night (between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am).

This means:  BE QUIET OUTSIDE !!

Especially at Night, Use Soft Voices.

- Keep exterior doors and windows closed at night when making noise inside. Sound does carry into the neighborhood from inside.

- Use very soft voices outside at night, as noise carries especially far from the decks and hot tub.

- Please be respectful. Be conscientious of your group's noise levels, especially after 10 pm.

- YOU are responsible that ALL of your GUESTS absolutely KNOW the RULES.

- Noise complaints by neighbors will result in a visit by the Placer County Police.

- Multiple complaints may result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Parking:

​

With 2 garages and spots for 4 more cars in front and on the side of the garages, if you need overflow parking, you may also use the parking lot to the right of the home, in front of the empty lot, which we also own. Don't forget about EV charging in the right-side garage. Please understand that occupants may NOT park in any of the other neighbors' driveways, as doing so may get you towed by neighbors without warning.
